GNH is a bunch of BS anyways. Happiness comes from within, a happy person is happy irrespective of how one is doing in life. Nobody can measure happiness. Using the term GNH should be scrapped, it is stupid, nobody has so far been able to explain clearly. People are making fool of themselves by trying to explain GNH. Pl. don’t make it sound like GNH belongs to Bhutan only.
Without even trying to know what is please don’t try to act as if you are the expert. Our beloved K4 coined the term and we are trying to reach that goal. We never said that we were a GNH country. Please Google if your brain is not working.

I think it seems little farfetched to prematurely portray these two important political figures as being locked up while court hearing is still in full swing and verdicts are yet to be passed.
Judging from such mindset, I doubt Bhutan will ever be a GNH state. Gross belligerent attitude of Bhutanese runs counter to the much touted claim of being a predominantly Buddhist country. Yucks! How much of those people in a proclaimed Buddhist Country even know about Buddha and his teachings? If asked by surprise, great majority will not even know the four noble truths.
I think this forum should rather be used as a vehicle to transmit positive thinking among the people rather than providing grounds to vent their anger and vengeance to people who are by fortune and good karma privileged. Non-Bhutanese would be tempted to think that our country is full of envious people.
As befitting the name of the forum, discussions on how we can build a productive society in Bhutan are called for. Enough of mudslinging and character assassination have we to see in almost all discussion forums, but disappointingly very or almost no posts on appreciating the good jobs done. With such a negative ambiance, how are going to foster positive change in our society? Every outsider attracted by the website’s title “Bhutanomics” would be grossed out by all the negatives we discuss here. Are we so much satiated with ill-fated events that we can’t open our eyes to sunshine and lights?
I disagree with many that this website is anything but Anti-Bhutanese. Trouble lies only in its philosophical underpinnings that promotes impulsive hate-mongering and vindictive writeup against few people. If the owner(s) of this website can tweak a little bit with the philosophy leaning to a brighter side, many readers will boomark it and favorite it. Think of this positive side if you guys like to make giant leaps in cyber business.

u may accuse me of being regionalism but the fact of the matter is, at least these guys made some bold decisions and brought visible development progress while they were in eastern Bhutan. But now they r accused of so called corruption as if rest of us are clean!! These two guys are popular in the east and now they are muddled in the political conspiracy sponsored by thebhutanese and this website!!! And of course dragged by another easterner -typical character of easterners-more of puller than pushing up!!!! just my opinion.
Jigmi Tshultrim says in his interview with Dawa that Gyelpoishing is the result of anti DPT elements out to bring down the party. Typical of the leaders of this party, they think any institution- be it the Supreme Court, the ACC, the Opposition, the media or any individual that does anything to question any one of them is not doing anything legitimate or worthwhile or noble, but merely playing dirty politics, manipulated by anti-DPT elements! Because as far as they are concerned, they are the ultimate patriots, the greatest leaders, the most honest do-gooders. And that’s why they cannot be trusted. If they have the scantiest of respect for even the most important of the oversight bodies instituted by our Constitution, how contemptuously they regard ordinary people like you and me has been plain and simple for everyone to see. That’s why voters must truly reflect if these characters deserve our votes. If you want pathological dictators, thugs and gundas, go ahead and vote for them. But then next prepared to watch them carry on doing to the people and the country what they should only be doing to their wives.
I for one, am determined to give my precious vote to anyone else who is an unknown factor, rather than a party which is full of hypocrites, crooks and gundas.
